Trondheim Type Club says HelloTypo™

playing with type on the Autobahn

Autobahn is an dutch design agency with a love for type. Autobahn designs special graphical projects, often with an illustrative and typographical angle. I really like the way they play with type in this particular project (glad I´m not themodel). The project I´m talking about is called Arts In Area Development.

“Arts In Area Development is a collaboration between artists and area developers. Together they are looking for a way to provide a place for art in areas yet to be developed. Will the implantation of art and culture into area development projects increase the quality of the development plans? What possibilities will there be for the artists? And will there arise involvement with the future area residents?”

Read more about the project, and see all the “behind the scene” pictures here. It´s sweet, promise.

HelloTypo at NKF

vinfrankf

This was fun. Today I was at the NKF (Norges Kreative fagskole) and talked about type design and typography. Very nice bunch to talk to. Lots of questions afterwards as well. So either they were interested or I was a bit blury and unclear. Hope to come back soon. I’m sorry that I didnt took pictures of the wonderful gang. Instead a have a picture of the wine Eva gave to me :-)

Bjørn Kowalski Hansen

My friend and artist Bjørn Kowalski Hansen (one of the co-founders of the legendary t-shirt brand and art project Håkki™ (check out the super cheesy and fun intro on this site) ) has some sweet art projects going on. I went through some of his work, and stole the type relevant pictures. (sorry Bjørn) If you like these pictures, please visit Bjørn here. There is loads of this over at his site. Enjoy!

Sweetest job hiring ad I´ve seen in a while (ever?). All the temp agencies (Manpower etc.) have something to learn.

Typeface -the movie

I´m really looking forward to seeing this movie: Typeface. From the site - “Typeface focuses on a rural Midwestern museum and print shop where international artists meet retired craftsmen and together navigate the convergence of modern design and traditional technique.” Mmmh! We´ve posted the Typeface trailer before, but now they have made some sweet posters to:

Support the movie.

Who we are

TTC (Trondheim Type Club) started out in 2008 by Aasmund Hegglid and Trond Aslak Øvrum. The idea was made in 2007 as something we missed in our town. A breeding place for type-fanatics.

We are now a group of people with relations to the design/advertising industry in Trondheim, Norway.

We all have passion and love for typography, and want to share our ideas, inspirations and knowledge with everyone. Kern or die!
