Loving this concept. Playing with letters. Hello! letterPLAYGROUND is a fun spot to enjoy custom type. If you go over there, make a letter and namedrop us (HelloTypo™) in your letter. That would make all 25 of us happy. Yay!
This is an ad from AMP. A 90-second television commercial with a mixture of 2D and 3D graphics, along with hand crafted typography. Sweet!

I stumbled upon this nice (nasty) picture while researching for the upcoming workshop we´re doing in Zagreb next week. I do not remember the source, probably Flickr-something.
Anna Garforth experiments with type. Wild at heart was, as she states, created in rural Catalunya, northern Spain. A 2m x 9m installation was rendered in masking tape, using a wire fence as a grid. She plays with type. She plays materials. She plays. Take a tour on her site. Baking, Papercraft, Flowers, Illustration, Typography. Check it out! Also check out her Tumblr. Pastry bonus:
Two of the Cmykkel girls did a design job for the Academy of Fine Arts in Trondheim. Here is the process of brush and color palette to the finished design.
This water color palette has not been used since the sixth grade (about 15 years ago) but it still works.
As you can see the letters is based on the typeface Umbra from 1935. Beautiful shadows of letters in water paint.
Now these letters were scanned and played whith inside the magical world of Photoshop.
The letters were even vectorized and tried out with different patterns.
But that was a dead end for this project. And now to the final design that won the rounds of the creative selection process…

My good friend and Tibe T colleague Aasmund Reitan Hegglid and myself where kindly invited to Zagreb to hold a typography workshop at the 20th of may. Of course we rapidly replied with the CapsLock pressed in: YES! We are going to hold the workshop for the cream of the crop of advertising agencies in Croatia, at the event How to wow. We´re really looking forward to this event. We´re plotting the event as we speak, and it will be nine whole hours in typography heaven. If you are in Zagreb, be a clever type-junkie and come join us for a day of fun.

TTC (Trondheim Type Club) started out in 2008 by Aasmund Hegglid and Trond Aslak Øvrum. The idea was made in 2007 as something we missed in our town. A breeding place for type-fanatics.
We are now a group of people with relations to the design/advertising industry in Trondheim, Norway.
We all have passion and love for typography, and want to share our ideas, inspirations and knowledge with everyone. Kern or die!
