Nice shopping with the people behind Boom Clap Bachelors and Quadron. Repeating lyrics in 80′s style logos on goods in the cart. Check it!
I stumbled upon this extraordinary piece of landscape while i was fiddling around with Google Earth the other day. Wikipedia states that: “Sheikh Hamad owns Futaisi Island, this has been handed down from father to son. It covers an area of 50 square kilometres …” I think it’s more than probable that this is that exact island, just outside Abu Dhabi. According to the scale on Google maps, the letters are approximately 480 meters high and the whole word is about 1,7 kilometers long! That should make the text around 1 360 500 pt.
Sheik Hamad is a cool sheik. Maybe a tad bit crazy, but still cool.

This is the first time I see a tagging survey. In Norwegian ”What do you think about this tag?”
Funny :-)

Lately my main aim while walking around different trödels and flea markets here in Berlin has been to find vintage typography. I’ve found a few nice signs but I am still looking for that big scoop. While waiting for the latter I figured I could try to make my own letters and signs and researching this led me to the wonderful art of Steve Lambert!

You can also buy a big letterpress print of his for whatever amount you think it’s worth:

José Paralá was first made famous by the likes of Jackson Pollock and Cy Twombly, the sentiment was further romanticized by the subway graffiti artists of the 1970s and ’80s and is now a gallery mainstay. José Paralá is now showing his work at Bryce Wolkowitz Gallery

This work may be old, but still very cool. Check out more pictures from this project made by Sasha Kisselova.

The Cursing Stone was an art project by Andy J. Altmann at why not assiciates and Gorden Young. A millennium project which has been blamed for the big flood and the local football teams bad seasons. Take a look at this podcast.

Allways interesting to see type specimens from around the world. Found this one on Twitter :^) If you want to see the rest. Go to Flickr

TTC (Trondheim Type Club) started out in 2008 by Aasmund Hegglid and Trond Aslak Øvrum. The idea was made in 2007 as something we missed in our town. A breeding place for type-fanatics.
We are now a group of people with relations to the design/advertising industry in Trondheim, Norway.
We all have passion and love for typography, and want to share our ideas, inspirations and knowledge with everyone. Kern or die!
